REELS: Animation • Storyboards • Compositing

Drawing was the only thing I could do for 12 hours a day. And then, the next day, I’d do it all over again.

I grew up creating games, drawing everyone’s favorite characters, and eventually found my way to school for animation. Through a key internship with JESUS Film Project, I grew in storyboarding, animation, FX and compositing as I worked on shorts. And when I landed a contract with them, I continued in those departments for a limited series and even became a Production Designer on multiple live action shorts in the film department. For years, I acted as a 2D/3D generalist, learning a wide variety of skills that I’d later apply regularly as director of my own boutique animation studio. I snapped up marketing as a skill as various clients needed compositing and motion graphics. And I’d pick up gaming industry experience working for TruPlay games, concentrating on storyboards and cinematic FX and compositing. Now, I direct independent projects for House Adducci across platforms, support and manage other creatives for client contracts, and am focusing on my growing career as an FX artist in animation, live action, gaming, and experiential media.

Ultimate Goal: Make a studio that better represents where I’m from— the Midwest and Christian communities. The farmers, the down-to-earth people. Making excellent art that honors God.

What’s your most prized possession in your office?  An actual animation disc from Disney Studios Florida. Or my picture with Alan Tudyk as Dead Wash.
