Story Starter: 09

The task: to come up with three loglines (very short story descriptions) based on the image. The point: to stay creative and hone my ability as a screenwriter to write loglines.

All images can be found on my Story Starter Pinterest board (with the link to the artist’s page). And if you’d like to produce any of the loglines you see in my Story Starter Series, feel free to contact me!

  1. A street urchin wants off the streets and tries to get respectable work at a local pharmacy only to find he’s stumbled into a black market drug sale for superpowered people.
  2. A lonely pharmacist with the third shift at an open all night pharmacy tries to befriend a young woman who comes in once a week only to realize he’s from a different reality than her.
  3. A boy who’s frightened of everything starts making up stories about his neighbors to get to sleep at night and stumbles into the secret of his local pharmacy when he sees their lights on all night.

Rate each logline!

Award stars based on your interest in the loglines! Do they have characters, themes, and imagery that intrigue you? Would you watch that movie? Give it 5 stars for something you're super excited about all the way to 1 star for something you stopped reading because you were so disinterested in it.

Pick your favorite!

If you could only pick one logline, one movie to go see, which one would it be?
